Umbilical cord blood is blood in the blood vessels connecting the placenta and the umbilical cord. In general,  umbilical cords are discarded as medical waste.  Umbilical cord blood is rich in hematopoietic stem cells with normal blood of all the ingredients, including red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma.  Umbilical cord blood stem cells are pure,  have renewable power, and  less likely to be rejected,  of which is better than bone marrow.
