According to research,  1 in every 10 people suffers from high cholesterol, which may result in hyperlipidemia.  Any blood vessel in our body will lead may subject to hardening of the arteries because of the high cholesterol. When the above mentioned treatments result in no improvement, the lipidfiltration technology will be next.

The lipidfiltration procedure  takes about three hours. The patient blood are drawn from the vein on the left elbow and separated out by the filters to remove low and very low density lipoprotein, which are  bad cholesterol, the cleansed blood will be brought back in the body through the vein on the right elbow. Chest tightness and weakness will gradually disappear during the procedure. Although lipidfiltration will result in immediate improvement, however, after all, it is invasive. Side effects such as high blood pressure or allergies may occur. Patients should remain in low cholesterol diet, continue exercise, and take medication as directed.

What is Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)?

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery is to graft normal blood vessels to  the heart by  connecting the main artery and the normal arteries,  bypassing the coronary artery stenosis.  The situation is just like a bridge erected , so that blood can once again go through to supply oxygen to relieve the myocardial condition.
CABG surgery patients will go under general anesthesia. The doctor will first cut the patient's  chest median sternotomy incision. The right atrial venous drainage tube is inserted, blood will be drained into the cardiopulmonary bypass machine, after adding oxygen, then it will flow back into the patient's body. Leg saphenous vein is commonly used in CABG; because it is long, it can be used for multiple bypass. More and more people use  mammary artery in the breast in CABG. The 10-year rate has increased from 60% to 90%. However, due to the limited length of mammary artery, it is only suitable for CABG that goes through the front the heart.
