Diet for Hair Loss

Hair loss is a medical term used to describe inexplicable hair loss. Most of the human body to lose 70-150 hairs a day, mainly through washing and combing. When hair is lost faster than the replacement rate he called alopecia.
Permanent alopecia (hair can not be recycled), is usually genetic cause. However, temporary hair loss, is composed of many causes, including nutritional deficiencies and inadequate diet caused. Thus, the nutrient may be effective in treating hair loss.
Nutrition and Hair Loss
What you eat can affect hair growth. Strengthen the body's cells healthy diet health, including healthy hair follicle cells.
Cells within the hair follicle hair must meet certain metabolic demands, hair growth can occur. Means need certain vitamins, minerals and protein, making hair growth, otherwise the hair may break or even fall off.
Modern diet rich in refined, processed foods often lack key nutrients needed for hair growth. It is also worth mentioning that the high fat diet, the animal protein may also lead to hair loss, since they damage the kidneys and in the blood to become acidic.
So pay attention to proper diet and adequate intake of the following foods are, they can help prevent hair loss or hair breakage.

Foods rich in vitamin A and C
Vitamin A and C will help the body to produce substances called sebum, which is secreted by the hair follicles and the hair root is used as a natural conditioner. Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach are good sources of vitamins A and C,.
Rich in foods rich in B vitamins
Vitamin B is the strength of hair growth is particularly important. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), B5 (pantothenic acid) and B6 (biotin) to strengthen the hair follicles and promote hair growth, but recent scientific reports have shown that vitamin B12 deficiency, increased hair shedding. Foods such as red meat, dairy products, eggs, whole grains and green leafy vegetables are also good sources of B vitamins.
Foods rich in essential fatty acids
Essential fatty acids such as ω-3 and ω-6 conditioning agent and the hair follicle is a natural moisturizing effect, prevent hair breakage and hair loss. Ensure scalp health. Foods rich in essential fatty acids, including salmon, sardines, mackerel, flaxseed, nuts and avocado.
Foods rich in iron and protein
Hair loss may be iron deficiency, moderate intake of red meat, eggs, beans, whole grains and dark green leafy vegetables can make hair loss improvement.
Protein-rich foods stimulate hair growth and strengthen hair follicles and prevent further hair loss. Protein-rich foods include red meat, poultry, fish and seafood, dairy products, eggs, beans, nuts and seeds.
Silica-rich foods
Silica (Silica) is to stimulate and strengthen the important minerals hair growth. Silica may be such as cucumber, celery, leafy vegetables, strawberries, brown rice and oats naturally absorbed from food.

Hand Acupressure for gray hair (gray hair) and hair loss, part 2

Last post in Part 1 we talked about the acupoints on hands for treating gray hair (grey hair) and hair loss. We're going to continue with the reflexive area on the hand that helps treating this same problem. Before you jump to the diagram and see where the reflexive areas are located, let's read a story the practitioner told on the book from my research.

About the concern of gray hair, hair loss or even baldness, men and women are pretty much the same. But baldness is more annoying and scary for men. Indeed, it may be hard for women to imagine why men are so panic about hair turning gray or even losing hair. Gray hair actually feels like the warning that the another end of life is coming to men. Somehow it's a strike to most men.

There's a taxi driver who came to this practitioner's office to treat his back pain. He's at about his early 30, but 30% already turned gray. He asked if he should dye his hair. Then the practitioner said it's not recommended since dye somehow is not good for health. Gray hair actually looks quite mature and stylish somehow. But the taxi driver said he looks quite old to a lot of people and even kids didn't like him neither. So the practitioner then suggested he spend 15-20 minutes per day to massage the reflexive area and see how it goes.

As the last post indicated, hair loss and gray hair are related to the weakening function of kidneys and adrenal glands. As long as we keep these two organ strong, the hair should be fine.  So gently do a massage on the reflexive areas on the palm (see diagram) continuously should be able to stimulate the function of kidneys and adrenal glands and hence help the hair grow back to normal. So even if it's not for hair, continuing to stimulate these areas are good for health as well.

Another supplementary method is bending your fingers and "grind" the fingernails of both hands on both sides. That is going to stimulate the end of nerves.

Other than that, balance diet is also a key. Eating black beans, sesame, sea weeds are going to help the hair. Relieving stress and adjust the mood with variety of activities and interests are very important as well.

After two months, that same taxi driver came back for his back again. This time he pointed at his hair told the practitioner that his gray hair had been reducing lately. The practitioner even forgot about that but now it seemed like the taxi driver did follow his directions and worked.

Hand Acupressure for gray hair (gray hair) and hair loss, part 1

Either men and women both worry about gray hair (grey hair) and hair loss once they are about to be middle age. And even some young people now have this problem because of nutrition and stress. Certain people have gray hair come earlier. Hand acupressure can prevent treat gray hair and hair loss, if you insist on doing the simple massage for a long period of time.

Simply put, hair turn gray or white because the condition of nutrients growing the hair is turning weak, and the enzyme or hormone that makes black pigment is decreasing as one getting older. The reason of decreasing of the hormone still have no exact conclusion yet. In Chinese acupuncture theory, Gray (Grey) hair and hair loss are considered caused by weakening function of kidney and adrenal gland.

The acupressure points, or acupoints that help the kidney and adrenal gland would be on your palm side of your little finger. The kidney acupoint ("Shen Xue") is located on the first segment while the adrenal gland acupoint ("Ming Men") are on the second segment. Each hand's acupoints helps one side of kidneys and adrenal glands. Another two acupoints that can work as supplements are the center of the palm ("Shou Xin"), and the corner of the root of the middle finger that is close to the index finger called "Zhong Chong". (See diagram)

To treat gray hair and hair loss, STRONG stimulations are PROHIBITED. Or else the stimulation will catalyze even more gray hair to grow. So, when we stimulate these acupoints, it's going to take longer time with some gentle acupressure or massage. Press and massage the kidney and adrenal glands acupoint slowly on both little fingers for about 5-10 minutes every day. After 2-3 months, you should be able to see some improvement with your hair.
