Bladder Cancer Symptoms

The bladder is a hollow organ in the lower abdomen. It collects and stores urine, liquid waste produced by the kidneys.
There are 3 major cell types which can become cancerous: Urothelial carcinoma (most common), Squamous cell carcinoma, and Adenocarcinoma.  Bladder cancer cells can spread through the blood vessels to the lungs, liver, bones, prostate, rectum and other organs.   In some cases, bladder cancer cells can also spread through lymph vessels to lymph nodes.
